Automating your ASIC Fees

Running a company in Australia is already hard enough as it is, without having to remember if you've paid your ASIC fees or not for the year.

Many people who run their companies forget to change their address as it is listed on the ASIC register when they move, or if they utilise the address of a professional services firm (i.e. accountant or lawyer) and change that firm.

This can result in unnecessary late penalties and fees charged by ASIC to the company.

Can I pay ASIC directly?

You might be thinking that if you remember to pay ASIC directly each year, you can avoid the late penalties - but unfortunately this is very difficult as ASIC does not provide easy online access to view and pay your ASIC fees.

Additionally, it is very difficult to even update your address once it changes (and there are even penalties and late fees associated with not informing ASIC in time).

ASIC will only post (yes, via a physical letter) your invoice each year to your nominated address, which cannot be a Post Office box.

Can I use accountedfor to View my ASIC Record?

Fortunately, because accountedfor is an ASIC Digital Services Provider (DSP), you can replace your snail mail ASIC annual review fee invoice with a Push Notification, email or Text Message on iOS or Android - and elect to view and pay your ASIC fees online each year automatically.

This service is free when you sign up to a Company Accounting plan with accountedfor, which you can do here: https://www.accountedfor.com.au/pricing.

Alternatively, you can get in touch with one of our accountants to sign up by calling 1300 201 329
